Vehicle Information, Stock Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Notice
This notice explains how Keystone Auto Sales Limited (“Keystone”, “we”, “our” or “us”) uses certain supplier-provided vehicle information and clarifies responsibility for vehicles sold by Keystone.
1. Vehicle Stock and Advertising Material
Keystone has purchased a portion of its vehicle stock in bulk from an independent third-party supplier. Under the relevant agreement, Keystone has permission to use specified vehicle descriptions, specifications, photographs and related advertising material for those vehicles.
This permission applies only to the material and vehicles covered by that agreement. It does not imply ownership of, or unrestricted rights to reuse, the supplier’s other content, branding or intellectual property.
2. Independent Business Operation
Keystone operates as an independent business. The supplier does not own or control Keystone and does not manage Keystone’s pricing, sales negotiations, customer contracts or after-sales decisions.
The acquisition of vehicles and permission to reuse advertising material do not, by themselves, create a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship.
3. Responsibility for Keystone Sales
For vehicles sold by Keystone, Keystone is the selling dealer and is responsible for its own advertisements, representations, sales agreements and applicable obligations to customers.
The original stock supplier is not a party to Keystone’s customer sales agreements merely because it previously supplied a vehicle or advertising material. No warranty, guarantee or commitment on behalf of that supplier is offered unless separately and expressly confirmed by the supplier.
Any separately provided finance agreement, manufacturer warranty or third-party warranty will identify the relevant provider and its terms. Such arrangements do not remove Keystone’s obligations as the selling dealer.
Nothing in this notice excludes any liability that the supplier or another party may independently have under applicable law or a separate agreement.
4. Accuracy of Vehicle Information
Some advertised information originates from supplier records or other third-party sources. Keystone takes reasonable steps to check that its vehicle advertisements are accurate and updates information when errors are identified.
Please contact us before purchasing if a particular specification, feature, mileage figure, service-history detail or other characteristic is important to your decision. We will check the available information and explain any uncertainty or qualification.
Customers are welcome to inspect vehicles and ask questions. This does not transfer Keystone’s legal responsibilities to the customer or remove the requirement for vehicles to match their agreed description.
5. Corrections and Updates
Keystone may correct or update advertisements when new information becomes available. Any material correction identified before purchase will be brought to the customer’s attention before the agreement is concluded.
An update to an advertisement does not retrospectively change an existing sales agreement or remove rights arising from an earlier representation.
6. Duration of Permission
Supplier-provided advertising material will be used only within the scope and duration of the relevant permission, and only while the vehicles covered by that permission remain available for sale.
7. Customer Rights
Nothing in this notice excludes or restricts customers’ statutory rights, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Questions about a vehicle advertised or sold by Keystone should be directed to Keystone Auto Sales Limited.
